Storm Damage, Now What?

When heavy storms hit, there might not be time to prepare. Luckily, there are preventative measures you can take to ready yourself before dark clouds roll in. If there are signs of an impending storm, be sure to make sure any lose items such as umbrellas or trampolines are secured and park your car away from any trees and under cover. If it is safe, check downspouts and gutter to be sure they are free from debris. When the storm arrives, stay indoors and away from windows. Be prepared for power outages and the possibility of flood waters. If outside stay away from any type of waterway such as creeks and gutters.
